UAB's learning-management systems will continue the migration process to move all courses into the Bb Vista 4 production environment.

From Aug. 9 - 12:

  • Vista 3 will be available in ‘read-only' mode to allow faculty access to view grades. No changes to content or grades can be made during that time.
  • Vista 4 will be unavailable as originally planned and communicated as we perform the final portions of the migration.
  • Vista 4 should be active and open to faculty/students by Aug.13.

The upgrade will offer some new features that can be used for assessments, assignments, creating community and grading:

  • Blogs, journals and peer reviews
  • Grading forms (rubrics), improved assessment statistics
  • Greater abilities to associate course goals with assessments, create custom instructions, review the question statistics, grade distributions and descriptive statistics for each assessment, and
  • Categorize Web links

This upgrade to Bb Vista 4 also will position UAB with Blackboard's roadmap for future releases.
