Discover the wonders of the Appalachian forest and test the whitewaters down the Ocoee River during a backpacking and rafting trip with UAB Outdoor Recreation Sept 5-7.
First-time participants pay only $10 for the trip to Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest in North Carolina and the Ocoee River in Tennessee.
The pre-trip meeting and deadline for signup is Tuesday, Sept. 2 at 6 p.m. in Campus Recreation Center Room 290.
Travelers will depart at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5 and return at 10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7.
