UAB Engineering set to host drone and rover summer camps

The UAB School of Engineering will host two 2024 summer camps.

Stream engineering campRegistration is open for the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Engineering 2024 Drone and Rover Academies. 

Open to rising ninth graders through graduating high school seniors, these camps will grant students the opportunity to design, build and program drones and remote-controlled rover vehicles.

Multiple weeklong sessions will run through June and July. Drone Academy, consisting of computer-aided design and 3D printing, will be June 3-7, 10-14 and 24-28. Rover Academy, consisting of more advanced building and programming, will be July 8-12 and 15-19.

Applications are due by May 15. There is a $100 donation fee for participation in one week of camp. However, students will not be excluded if cost is a limiting factor.
