The UAB-HudsonAlpha Center for Genomic Medicine will span human genome research with clinical care.
The UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center has been selected as a  lead academic site and received a prestigious NCI grant that will open up clinical trials across a nationwide network and expand treatment options for patients.
The research was conducted as part of a consortium of five institutions called EMPaCT, Enhancing Minority Participation in Clinical Trials.
