On Tuesday, Jan. 19, MELT, at 4105 Fourth Ave. South, will host Dine for a Cure, a fundraising effort in which local restaurants will partner with the Young Supporters Board of the University of Alabama at Birmingham Comprehensive Cancer Center to raise money for cancer research at UAB.
MELT will donate 10 percent of every food ticket from 5 p.m. until close, including take-out.
Dine for a Cure will extend to other restaurants with upcoming events to be scheduled at a variety of local restaurants.
