In order to make sure you have the best possible access to the classes you need to complete your degree on a timely schedule, students must adhere to the below payment deadlines.  Students receiving need based financial aid, external funding (e.g. PACT, VA benefits, etc.), or scholarships will not be negatively impacted by this policy.Payment deadlines are listed on official academic calendar. The following payment timelines are in place at UAB for Fall 2013 semester:
A student’s balance due will be 50 percent of charges plus any outstanding balance less financial aid, educational assistance, or third-party payments. Students who do not make the initial payment of 50 percent of their account balance 10 days before the first class day of the term will be dropped from their courses for non-payment. Students who initially register on or after August 16, 2013, or who re-register after having their classes dropped for non-payment, will be assessed a $75 late registration fee. The payment schedule changes will impact graduate and undergraduate students. It will not impact students in first professional programs in the schools of Medicine, Optometry, and Dentistry. |
