Barnes & Noble at UAB
We recently extended our management contract with Barnes & Noble College for another 3 years through June 2017. The agreement will ensure favorable textbook pricing agreements continue and the future funding of student scholarships totaling $75,000. Barnes & Noble will also help UAB design and build a state-of-the-art college bookstore scheduled to open in the new Hill Center next summer.
UAB’s official campus bookstore will be awarding scholarships totaling $25,000 to UAB students for the 2014-15 academic year. Since the beginning of UAB’s partnership with Barnes & Noble a total of $225,000 has been awarded to UAB students. The Bookstore’s textbook rental program has helped save UAB students over $300,000 since last fall. The bookstore has also set up an email address, email@example.com, for students to use for any financial aid questions relating to textbooks and supplies. Students can also call the Bookstore for assistance by dialing 205.996.2665.
