Elementary Portfolio Tasks

  • Every student teacher seeking certification in Early Childhood/Elementary (ECE/ELE) is required to complete and submit several artifacts and reflections in order to meet the program requirements.

  • Each ECE/ELE student teacher will need to complete the following tasks:

  • Diversity Intervention Plan - Due to the UAB Supervisor for a pass/fail grade

  • 10-Day Unit Plan - Due to cooperating teacher for approval; then due to the UAB Supervisor for a pass/fail grade

  • Impact on Student Learning Project - Due to cooperating teacher for approval; then due to the UAB Supervisor for a pass/fail grade

  • Technology Integration Plan - Due to cooperating teacher for approval; then due to the UAB Supervisor for a pass/fail grade

  • Professional Learning Plan - Due to Student Teaching Seminar Instructor

  • Philosophy of Teaching - Due in final portfolio
  • Teaching Evaluations - Due in final portfolio

 

Due Dates:

  • Refer to the “ECE/ELE Portfolio Task Due Dates” for specific dates.

  • The UAB Supervisor should provide feedback for any relevant internship portfolio tasks within at least 7-14 days after the assignment is due.

  • Student teachers cannot post any applicable internship portfolio tasks onto TaskStream until the UAB Supervisor has provided a "Pass" grade.
