Figuring out where to park can be a challenge when visiting campus.  Those coming to the campus usually fall into one of two categories: Medical Center or University.  The City of Birmingham controls street parking and has free and metered parking available throughout campus.  For specific visitor information by category, choose Medical Center or University to the left.

Public Decks
The public decks available on campus are:

• 4th Avenue Deck - 1801 4th Avenue South
• 6th Avenue Deck - 1960 6th Avenue South
• University Boulevard Deck - 1915 University Boulevard
• Callahan Eye Foundation Deck - 1720 University Boulevard
• Spain Rehabilitation and Center for Psychiatric Medicine Valet Lot - 1713 6th Avenue South
• 9th Avenue Deck (Level 1 Only) - 1602 9th Avenue South

One-Day Pass 

A free one-day visitor pass is available in our commuter parking lot (Lot 15) at any time.  You can order one on-line, or stop by our office at 608 8th Street South; Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.   

UAB Alumni 

Members of the UAB Alumni Society may qualify for an alumni parking permit.  This permit allows parking in all commuter student lots (Lot 15).  For details of the program, click here.

Bus Parking
Bus parking is available in designated bus parking spaces in Lot 15I.  This lot is located on 11th Street South between University Boulevard and 6th Avenue.  Call our office at 205-934-3513 if you want to schedule a space for your event. 

RV Parking

The university does not provide on-campus RV parking.  There are several camp sites located within the area that may meet your needs.  Below is a list of the closest locations to the campus:
