Highlighted Community Partners

UAB Office for Service Learning collaborates with community partners to promote meaningful volunteer opportunities for UAB students that meet identified community needs.  The relationship between student and community partner is designed to be mutually beneficial and collaborative.

Partners are divided by service area:

If you have any interest in volunteering with one these partners, please contact the organization directly. There is no guarantee that a Highlighted Community Partner will be able to accommodate you as a volunteer. It is important to communicate with the contact person at the organization to find an opportunity that works for both you and the partner. Be sure to discuss why you would like to volunteer, the name of the course and instructor (if applicable), the specific tasks you would like to perform as a volunteer, and the dates and times you are available including the start and end date. If you are enrolled in a service-learning course, please complete the Service Learning Agreement before you commence volunteering and have it signed by you, your Community Partner Supervisor and your UAB faculty instructor.
