Hundreds attended Coming Out on the Green
More than 300 students converged onto the Campus Green for the annual Coming Out on the Green. Hosted by Student Multicultural & Diversity Programs, students were greeted by 20 campus organizations that represented services or LGBTQ interests.

Breaking bread with International Mentors on November 10
UAB’s International Mentors, an initiative of Student Multicultural & Diversity Programs, invites all UAB international students and program mentees out for the 2017 Friendsgiving Potluck Dinner. The event will take place on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, from 6-8 p.m. at the UAB Spencer Honor House and features an evening of food, bonding, relaxation and celebration.

Birmingham 101 series pays tribute to Parker High School
The Birmingham 101 series continues this semester with a focus on the historic A.H. Parker High School on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at the UAB Hill Student Center Ballroom. The evening begins with a 5 p.m. reception, followed by a panel discussion at 6 p.m. and a Q&A session at 7:30 p.m. All events in the series are free and open to the public.
