How to Accept Your UAB Scholarship
2023 – 2024 Scholarship recipients will receive notification through postal mail or their UAB email account notifying them of their scholarship award.
All scholarship awards will be posted and must be accepted in the Blazer Scholarship Management and Resource Tool (BSMART).

Applying for Departmental Scholarships
Departmental scholarships to be awarded for the 2023-2024 academic year will be posted on September 1, 2022.
Students interested in applying for departmental scholarships will complete the general scholarship application in the Blazer Scholarship Management and Resource Tool (BSMART). Completing the general application submits student information to many departments on campus for scholarship consideration.
Important: Some scholarships may require a supplemental application, resume, or letters of recommendation in addition to the general application. Deadlines for these requirements vary and can be found in BSMART.
Merit Scholarships
Information for 2023 Merit Scholarships is now available. Qualified freshman and transfer applicants will be awarded scholarships upon admission starting in October 2022. More information on merit scholarships can be found here.
