Ahmed Amer, M.D., grew up in Egypt, where he finished medical school at Mansoura University in 2012. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Cancer Physics and Engineering Lab at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston Texas in 2016. He completed a transitional year residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit MI. His diagnostic radiology residency and abdominal imaging fellowship were completed at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He enjoys resident teaching and collaboration with colleagues from other disciplines. His research interests are pancreatic cancer imaging, and dual energy CT.
