The conversation, which begins at 6 p.m., will focus on the mission, challenges and opportunities present among diverse faith-based communities as they relate to charity, social justice and serving the larger society. The forum will attempt to answer the question “How do we tackle divisions to promote a greater sense of community healing, uplift and unity?”

The forum is a part of the Office of Diversity Equity and Inclusion’s campus wide civic forum series, Critical Conversations. The goal is to foster a diverse, equitable and inclusive community by using education and civil discourse as tools to encourage and empower UAB and its surrounding communities to engage, collaborate and create solutions to social issues affecting our communities.

The event will take place in Heritage Hall, Room 102, and is free and open to the public.
