Marques has won the UAB Presidential Award, Excellence in Medicine Award, and she is an Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society member. She is a School of Medicine Dean’s Excellence Award winner in teaching, and an Argus Society Award best lecture winner for hematopathology. Her research interests are patient blood management, including TTP and hyper coagulability, as well as cost-effective utilization of laboratory assays. Marques helped design an anticoagulation manager app for the CDC.
