The Black Student Awareness Committee is accepting nominations for the 2016 Black Excellence Awards. The nominee must be an African American who is a current UAB undergraduate, graduate student or faculty member in good standing. Candidates must have a record of exceptional leadership as demonstrated through community service and/or school involvement. Self-nominations will also be accepted. Nominations are due by January 22 at 5 p.m. Nominations are made through BSync.
The Black Student Excellence Awards recognizes the achievements of UAB undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty of African American descent for their educational achievements, leadership ability, campus and community involvement, and ability to impact the African American community at large.
