UAB is the proud home to a robust and diverse population of international students, and there is no better way to usher them back to campus than the highly-anticipated International Welcome Party.

Hosted by Student Multicultural and Diversity Programs and International Mentors, the 2017 International Welcome Party will take place on Sept. 7 from 5-7 p.m. at the Hill Student Center Amphitheater. (Rain location is in the Hill Student Center Ballroom ABCD.)

This unique event offers undergraduate and graduate international students, as well as the UAB and surrounding Birmingham community a fusion of cultural experiences in one location. Local vendors will provide an array of food options that give attendees a “taste of Birmingham” as well as culinary “reminders of home.” Student groups will also host tables at the event so that international students can learn about the various opportunities to get involved around campus. To top off the showcase, a live DJ will spin music from all international countries known to be represented, and of course, Blaze will make a special appearance.
