The second annual Taste of UAB is happening Friday, Aug. 30, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hill Student Center amphitheater and 5A Parking Lot. Come taste some of Birmingham’s greatest food trucks and see what off-campus exploration the city has to offer! Here is what you can look forward to at the event. 

 

1. Eat from Birmingham’s yummiest food trucks

Munch on everything from sweet treats to spicy Indian food at more than 10 food trucks including City Bowls 2, Hyderabad Dum Zone and UAB Campus Dining’s Magic City Eats (where you can use your Dining Dollars!). See the complete lineup of food truck participants here


2. Explore local vendors and attractions

Learn about Birmingham’s tourism hot spots, nightlife, outdoor adventures and more! Check out the full list of participating vendors here


3. Take advantage of giveaways

Taste of UAB will be raffling more than $1,000 worth of free giveaways during the event. Get your punch card stamped by at least 15 vendors, take a quick survey and submit the card for the chance to win amazing prizes -- including a $25 gift certificate to Big Slice, a $100 discount at Topgolf, and free Anthony Hamilton, Big K.R.I.T. or Tank and the Bangas concert tickets. 4. Learn about local resources and UAB programs

Survival is the name of the game. From banking to grocery services, discover local businesses and campus resources that provide much-needed amenities to students! 


5. Enjoy live music and entertainment

Experience performances by local artists Joshua Arrington, Kieron Hylton and Sa’Rah Sheridan as well as BlazeRadio. And be sure to take part in the live mural provided by the Birmingham Museum of Art!
