Cultivate a campus free of sexual violence. The University of Alabama at Birmingham is dedicated to creating a safe, considerate, and inclusive environment for its students, and everyone surrounding the campus community. To help students gain and apply knowledge about sexual assault prevention, UAB has partnered with Vector Solutions to provide modules that will help students achieve these individual goals.
The Vector Training modules will help students learn and explore the differences between identity and bystander intervention to decrease social barriers surrounding taking action. Participants will be able to hone their ability to intervene and support friends and peers when they engage in unsafe or unhealthy behavior, and step in before an incident occurs. Each module is dedicated to educating students about their personal safety, and those around them.
This training is available and recommended to any undergraduate upperclassmen before the deadline on March 1. All participants will receive a free Blazers Taking Action t-shirt, and their own selection of UAB Title IX merch, as well as being entered to win gift cards, Airpods, and an iPad Mini.
