The 1917 Clinic Prevention Services is committed to educating the community about HIV disease including healthy decision making, understanding current trends, and decreasing HIV-related stigma. We encourage all individuals to know their HIV status, practice behaviors to reduce risk of acquiring HIV, or if infected, of acquiring other sexually tranmitted infections or passing on HIV to someone else.Through SHAPE (Sexual Health Awareness through Peer Education) and the African-American Faith Initiative, we strive to build partnerships with youth, young adults, the faith community, and the community at large.
