OraQuick Counselors are trained to provide free HIV testing and counseling at the 1917 Clinic and in the community using the OraQuick Advance Rapid Antibody Test and under the supervision of 1917 Clinic staff. The training is typically two sessions. The first session (5 hours) provides a comprehensive overview of administering the test, providing relevant counseling, HIV 101, and practice skills. The second session (2 hours) reviews the specific protocols for serving as an OraQuick Counselor with 1917 Clinic. Training is typically help every other month. Next Training.
