Graduate Program

UAB is offering a master's degree program in communication management targeted at professionals in the fields of public relations, print and broadcast journalism, and other related areas. Students can explore practical and theoretical applications in professional communication fields.

Classes will be held primarily or exclusively at night and weekends to benefit working students. The program will award students with a master's degree in communication management.

Students in the program will need to complete 36 semester hours of graduate study. The range of courses are designed to allow students to customize their studies according to their career goals.

NEW FELLOWSHIP AVAILABLE

The department of Communication Studies in conjunction with the Graduate School will offer one fellowship for a student who is pursuing a Master’s degree in Communication Management and will be taking the thesis track.  Those interested in applying for this competitive fellowship should contact Dr. Hickson for more information.

NONDEGREE SEEKING GRADUATE STUDENTS

If you are a non degree seeking graduate student you must have the block on your file removed before you can register for classes.  To do this E-mail Dr. Amsbary (amsbary@uab.edu) with the following information:

• The classes you wish to register for
