As an artist, I observe and record matters relating to contemporary
culture and its historic precedents. In my paintings I attempt
to address the follies and foibles of human experience in
the latter part of the twentieth century -- how some are
a product of genuine attempts to better ourselves while
others are results of myopia and unbridled arrogance. Historic
and current cultural images and events are mixed into a
tableau of unlikely relationships which pose questions and
imply messages regarding the metaphysics of our lives.
