US News and World Report, Best Hospitals 2007 US News and World Report has recently revealed their annual evaluation of the best hospitals and clinical programs in the country. Of 5,462 evaluated medical centers, UAB has been recognized in the top 173. Eight clinical departments have ranked in the the top 35 of their respective field, including Rheumatology (#8), Cancer (#18), and Orthopedics (#32).
