Online Readiness Self Assessment The purpose of the self assessment is to identify the appropriate starting point for you to enhance your skill in using educational software tools. The structure, number, and timing of each session we will offer will be determined and forwarded to you based on analysis of the aggregate results of the assessment. Please use the following guidelines to evaluate your readiness in terms of the five broad categories identified below:
Assessment of proficiency with ancillary tools that facilitate online course development will allow us to design and deliver an appropriate number of sessions around those tools. Interpreting Results Based on the table given below, you can identify options for support in each category that will provide most benefit to you. For example, 3 or more "novice" responses in category #2: knowledge of content creation and basic blackboard functions, suggests that you would benefit from a session that covers these foundations; 4 or more "intermediate" or "proficient" responses suggests that you would benefit from a session that conveys information on blackboard teaching tools.
