Admission Requirements
For admission in good standing, applicants must meet the following requirements, in addition to the Graduate School's standards:
- an undergraduate degree in a biological science,
- B-level scholarship in all biology courses,
- two semesters of organic chemistry, two semesters of physics, mathematics through calculus,
- minimum combined verbal and quantitative score of 1150 on the GRE General Test,
- a personal statement of career goals, and
- Three letters of evaluation from individuals who have a thorough knowledge of the applicant's academic abilities and potential.
The graduate program director in biology must approve admission on probation or with deficiencies in one of the above requirements. Students may enter at the beginning of any semester.
