To provide a consistent visual image, it is important that all UAB brochures, publications, and promotional material share certain common elements.
-
The UAB monogram and wordmark (logo) must be conspicuously placed on the front and/or back cover, preferably the front. Colors and typeface should also be consistent with approved guidelines.
-
All text should follow UAB writing style guidelines.
-
Specific versions of the equal opportunity policy and sexual harassment statements must be included in all publications produced for UAB employees and students (see "EEO statement" in the Writing Style Standards section of this style guide).
-
Print materials designed for use by UAB Hospital patients or university students (including recruitment materials) must be available in an alternate format for the hearing and vision impaired.
-
The UAB Creative and Marketing Group (934-5310) can review your publications to ensure they follow official guidelines and to check for consistent image quality. All publications intended for external audiences should be reviewed by the UAB Creative and Marketing Group before printing (publications intended for or pertaining to patients should be reviewed by UAB Health System Marketing).
-
In-house production ensures that your pieces maintain UAB's graphic identity and style. For more information, call UAB Creative and Marketing Group (934-5310).
