Richard B. Marchase, Ph.D.--Glucose Metabolism and Calcium Regulation

Research Description:

Dr. Marchase's laboratory has been investigating the role that glucose metabolites play in providing buffering counter-ions for intracellular calcium sequestration. They will explore the relationship between the maintenance of adequate calcium pools and signal transduction initiated by cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions.
