Anne B. Theibert, Ph.D.--Activated by Neurotransmitters, Trophic Factors, and Growth Factors, the Phosphoinositide (PI) Second Messenger System Performs Crucial Roles in the Regulation of Neuronal Funcation.

Research Description:

The PI 3-kinase second messenger system is activated by growth/trophic factors. The role of the PI 3-kinase second messenger system in neuronal development and synaptic modulation is the focuse of our research.
