Beacon Recovery is a UAB Medicine-affiliated outpatient substance use treatment program for adults and adolescents. The program offers a comprehensive range of services tailored to meet the individual needs and recovery goals of each patient.
Addiction Recovery at UAB
The UAB Medicine Addiction Recovery Program offers an individualized approach to the assessment and treatment of alcohol and substance use. Our staff is comprised of licensed and certified counselors and social workers who work individually and in groups with patients to provide thoughtful, caring treatment for addiction.
Community Treatment Resources
Birmingham and the surrounding communities offer a variety of treatment services for pain and addiction. We provide links to some of the services in the community, including the Recovery Resource Center, which can provide recommendations and referrals that are more specific for addiction services available in the community.
Other Resources
Additional national and local resources are available to assist patients with addiction. These resources include information about local self-help meetings and availability of naloxone and trainings to prevent opioid overdose.
