August 29 - September 5, 2014Opening Reception: August 29
Sponsored by the Department of Art & Art History, John S. Jemison Fund and the Alys Stephens Center
New York artist Amanda Browder
will present her commissioned work for the AEIVA and Alys Stephens Center, Magic Chromacity
. Her large-scale colorful outdoor recycled fabric installation will celebrate the new cultural corridor at UAB.
After a round of severe weather over the last weekend, and with the threat of impending storms over the next few days, Dean Palazzo has made the decision to remove Magic Chromacity early to protect the artwork. While we regret the circumstances, it is of utmost importance that we protect the art and ensure it is returned to Amanda Browder in the best possible condition.
