With a degree in Computer & Information Sciences you can design programs to track medical epidemics, analyze climate data, or track voter behavior. - You'll have access to computing laboratories equipped with Microsoft Windows-based workstations, and specialized laboratories for networking using LINUX/Intel workstations. And you'll be able to apply for access to the Alabama Supercomputer Center.
- The research of today leads to the products of tomorrow. The department sponsors seminars on cutting edge research, giving you the chance to hear outstanding guest lecturers along with local graduate students and faculty. These seminars are open to all students in the department and you may even receive credit for attending.
- You can join the student chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery, the oldest and largest professional society for computer professionals.
