Criminal Justice General Minor Requirements

To complete the general criminal justice minor you must complete 21 semester hours of academic credit in designated justice sciences courses.

The minor requirements consist of 15 semester hours of required foundation courses and 6 semester hours of justice sciences electives, which must be taken at the 300-level or above.

You must complete the following foundation courses:

JS 100 – Introduction to the Criminal Justice System

JS 101 - Crime and Criminality

JS 220 - Police in America: An Overview

JS 230 - Judicial Process in America

JS 240 - Corrections America: Overview


To complete the minor, you must complete 6 additional hours at the 300 level or higher from justice science courses.
