Jerry Aldridge, Ed.D., professor emeritus in the UAB School of Education, now is a representative to the United Nations for the World Organization for Early Childhood Education. World OMEP, a non-profit child advocacy organization, has national committees in more than 60 countries divided into five geographical regions: Africa, Asia and the Pacific Rim, Europe, Latin America and North America and the Caribbean.
