Gabriela Oates (PhD 2015) is an Associate Professor in the UAB Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Medicine.
She has a secondary appointment at the School of Public Health.
Dr. Oates is the Director of the UAB Center for the Study of Community Health, founding Director of the UAB Social Determinants of Health Institutional Research Core, and Director for Population Health at the UAB Lung Health Center.
Dr. Oates’s research is funded by the National Institutes of Health, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and the Alabama Department of Public Health.
