Internet Identity Scholars Program

The Internet Identity Scholars Program will allow the Computer Forensic program to recruit nationally four (4) freshman students to attend UAB.  Each student will receive $5,000 to fund college expenses and must be enrolled in Criminal Justice or Computer Information Sciences.  These students will be known as the "Internet Identity Scholars".


The Anthony and Barbara Endowed Support Fund in Computer and Information Sciences

The Anthony and Barbara Barnard Endowed Support Fund was established by longtime faculty member of the Department of Computer and Information Sciences, Dr. Anthony Barnard and his wife Barbara Barnard.  This award will be used to provide funding to the Department of Computer and Information Sciences. 


The Joseph M. Fontana Scholarship Endowment Fund for Computer and Information Science

The Joseph M. Fontana Endowed Scholarship was created in 1996 by Dr. Jeanne M. Hutchison in honor of her late husband, Joseph Fontana. This award recognizes outstanding students in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences. Two recipients are awarded on an annual basis.

 

The Joyce Iannuzzi Endowed Presidential Scholarship for Computer Science and Technology

In 2006, The Joyce Iannuzzi Endowed Scholarship for Computer Science and Technology reached the endowed scholarship level. This scholarship was given to UAB by Foundry Networks, Inc. along with family and friends in memory of Joyce W. Iannuzzi – a long time employee of UAB. In 2007, the Iannuzzi’s and family and friends of Joyce’s continued to give funds to the scholarship allowing it to be funded at the Endowed Presidential Level.
