Mission and Demographics

The mission of the Center for Computational and Structural Biology (CCSB) is the development of a comprehensive center of excellence for research and training in computational and structural biology of membrane proteins and other supramolecular assemblies at UAB. The Center’s mission is closely aligned with the NIH Roadmap Initiatives, a major focus of which is addressing technologies and approaches necessary to meet contemporary research challenges, including those in computational and structural biology.
