
Graduates of the B.S. in Medical Technology Program are health care professionals who perform a variety of laboratory tests which contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of disease. In addition, they assure the quality of test results by performing and monitoring quality control processes, they evaluate new procedures, and they resolve complex laboratory problems. Medical technologists also prepare professional presentations, and collaborate with other members of the health care team in establishing and monitoring new patient testing. Graduates of the B.S. Program in Cytotechnology are health care professionals who assist pathologists by performing microscopic evaluation of cellular specimens obtained from virtually all organs of the body to detect microorganisms, infectious lesions, cancer, and related diseases. Cytotechnologists also perform various specialized techniques used in collection, preparation, and staining of cellular samples.

Graduates of the M.S. in Clinical Laboratory Sciences Program are found in advanced positions in a clinical laboratory. Some typical jobs are supervisor of a specialty section, quality assurance manaager, information systems manager and operations manager of the whole laboratory.Graduates are also in demand as faculty for clinical laboratory science education programs and as consultants to physician office laboratories and reference laboratories.
