Application Process

2014 PROGRAM DATES: May 19, 2014 - July 25, 2014

1. Complete & submit application.

2. The person submitting your recommendation should send it to program coordinator Charita Cadenhead by fax (205) 975-8009 or email The recommendation should be addressed to Dr. Yogesh K. Vohra, RET Program Director.

3. Once the recommendation has been received, the committee will review applications.

4. Selections will be made no later than April 1 and letters of offer will be emailed and mailed via US Postal Service to applicants that are accepted.

5. Should you receive an offer, you may print and sign the emailed letter and email it back to However, the original letter that is mailed must be signed and returned within two weeks of the date of the letter. Because of the high volume of applicants, we cannot extend the deadline to return the original signed letter.

6. After all letters of offer have been signed and returned, Program Coordinator Charita Cadenhead will notify participants of what to expect next.
