The UAB Continuing Education Center houses five computer labs to provide up-to-date training in a wide variety of business software applications on advanced equipment. We offer classes on programs such as Windows
98, Access, Visual Basic, Word, Excel, NetWare, Novell and more. We also provide training for Internet and the World Wide Web users, network administrators and computer programmers. Our equipment and software is upgraded regularly and our instructors stay current on the latest software versions. Special Studies offers a full range of Internet classes for beginners and advanced users. They include: Adventure on the Internet, The Internet: Resources, Services and Access Tools, An Introduction to Hypertext for Internet Web Servers, World Wide Web: Internet for Business.
