欢迎来到CSSA！阿拉巴马大学伯明翰分校中国学者学生会(UAB CSSA)是阿拉巴马大学伯明翰分校(UAB)中国学生学者的官方组织，亦是本校最大的非赢利非政治组织之一。CSSA拥有超过600个活跃成员，并因其在历届节日欢庆和体育活动中的杰出组织而饮誉伯明翰华人社区，并与其他本地组织保持着密切的合作关系。 初来伯明翰的朋友！帮助你适应伯明翰的生活并融入我们的华人大家庭是我们CSSA的首要任务。如你一样，我们飘洋过海来到这个陌生的城市的时候也经历了困惑和迷茫。但我们会全力帮助你，让你在异乡感受到祖国的温暖。 CSSA的第二大任务是在节假日组织娱乐和体育活动，为伯明翰华人大家庭营造和谐欢乐的环境。工作加班之余，欢迎您来到我们组织的活动之中，放松一下自己。 CSSA还积极促进华人社区和其他社区组织的交流联谊，帮助本地华人融入美国社会。

Greeting from President
Welcome to CSSA! -The Chinese Students and Scholars Association at the University of Alabama, Birmingham (UAB CSSA) , UAB CSSA is official organization of Chinese students and scholars at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. It is one of the largest non-profit, non-political organizations at the University. CSSA, with above 600 talented members, has been a key participant on campus as well as the big event in Chinese Society in State of Alabama. CSSA is well known among not only for her magnificent parties during major holidays, for her colorful sports and entertainment activities, for her well organized talks and seminars, but also for her cooperative and friendly partership in hosting joined programs with other groups.To help the newcomers is the most important work of CSSA. Having left our motherland and come to a brand new world, there are many difficulties at the beginning. We understand the feelings of being confused, frustrated and lonely, when facing the new environment. CSSA provides helps to newcomers to adapt to the new environment and get on to the right track as soon as possible. You can inform us of all your difficulties. Although we don't know each other, we will try our best to help you through.
The second goal of CSSA is to help to build an easy and happy environment for the Chinese students and scholars at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. CSSA organizes regular entertainment and sports activities at weekends and holidays. After a day of busy study and work, come to our activities to relax, enjoy and have fun.
CSSA also aims to promote the communication between the Chinese community at the university and other organizations in the university. CSSA works with them to provide opportunities of culture exchange through culture events and social gatherings. Our common goal is to help Chinese community successfully assimilate into America society and make the life of Chinese at the university healthy and happy in the states.

UAB-CSSA 组织机构和选举办法
伯明翰阿拉巴马大学中国学生学者联谊会(UAB-CSSA)是一个非政治性、非盈利性志愿服务组织。其工作主旨：1、为联谊会成员, 尤其是新来者提供各种信息咨询服务以及生活上力所能及的帮助。2、组织有中华特色的文化艺术娱乐活动丰富大家业余生活。3、代表本校的中国学生学者表达愿望及保护其应有权益。前二点是过程，最后一点是目标，它需要全体成员的共同努力和一个强有力的领导班子。为避免在不了解候选人能力的情况下盲目选举，在机制和制度上保证每年换届选举时都能选出既有实干能力，又有组织才能的领导班子，保障CSSA持续发展和壮大，有能力维护和保障广大成员的利益，特制定本办法。组织机构：
主席1名，工作重点为确定发展方向，培养接班人，对外拓展及资金保障等。同时继续提高自身的组织和协调能力。
副主席3名，通过组织项目，培养和提高实干能力和组织领导能力。
财务、IT部长各一名，委员20名。通过参加或组织项目、分项目，培养和提高实干能力和组织领导能力。
选举办法：
主席 采用推荐加投票的办法，由全委会根据主席候选人所开展项目得分多少，按顺序提供推荐名单，并由全CSSA成员投票选举。为充分体现投票人意愿，投票对象不局限于推荐名单。项目得分情况见《UAB-CSSA年度工作办法》。
副主席 主席任命副主席。
财务、IT部长和20名委员
主席任命财务、IT部长和8名委员
每位副主席各任命4名委员。
