Faculty learning communities will be driven by the needs of the UAB faculty community and may include activities in the areas of:

Mentoring
Scholarship of teaching
Assessment

UA System Scholar's Institute

UAB and the Center for Teaching & Learning are sponsoring the annual UA System Scholar's Institute on May 22nd and 23rd, 2012, on the UAB Campus.

This annual event focuses on technology in education and this year will address:

academic and course integrity,
accessibility and universal design of instruction,
instructional uses of mobile technology, and
student engagement.
