Giving to UAB's Women & Infants Services

It starts with your gift. UAB is one of the best qualified—and often the only qualified—source of care in the state for mothers and babies with special medical needs. For women with higher-risk pregnancies, babies born too soon or too sick for traditional neonatal care, and women with complicated gynecological problems, UAB’s Women & Infants Services provide the highest level of care and an important clinical safety net.

The benefits provided by UAB’s Women & Infants Services are in ever-growing demand, increasing by approximately 50 percent in the last decade. UAB has responded by expanding and improving services to our growing number of patients, including a state-of-the-art Women & Infants Center slated to open in February of 2010. Private support is critical to these efforts. Comprehensive care for pregnant women, sick newborns, and women with gynecological cancers requires the newest technologies, the most talented physicians, and the most comforting environments.

UAB’s Women & Infants Services still rely on community support. Your gift, large or small, can touch the littlest and newest lives, see a woman through a tough pregnancy, help a wife and mother beat cancer, provide needed childbirth and newborn-care education to a first-time mom, or comfort a family facing a loss. Make your gift using our online giving tool.
