Giving to the MHRC

It starts with your gift. The UAB Minority Health and Health Disparities Research Center (MHRC) works to reduce health disparities in Alabama and across the Southeast. The MHRC provides UAB researchers with an infrastructure to conduct innovative research to improve the health status of minority groups, to increase community outreach and education, and to expand the participation of minorities in health and science careers. The MHRC fosters partnerships with historically black colleges and universities, state agencies, community organizations, and grassroots groups.

Although UAB is a public university, and while the MHRC receives significant grant support from the National Institutes of Health and other governmental sources, private philanthropy is needed now more than ever to help us continue to improve the health and lives of some of our most vulnerable citizens.
