| The Clinical Reference Guide (the "Yellow Book") is compiled each year by members of the third-year medical school class to pass on to future students on their rotations. It is intended to provide a quick guide to common and practical problems third and fourth year medical students experience on the wards. It includes elements of many pocket manuals, reference books, journal articles and websites as well as personal experiences of those who came before you. All of the information was double checked to make sure that it is correct and as up to date as possible. You will find there are many facts in this book that can make your life easier if you read each clerkship section prior to and during that rotation. It is impossible to thank all the students, residents, and attendings who have been involved in the conception and continued efforts to produce this reference book each year. However, I would like to specifically thank Joseph Wu and Amy Meholin of the UASOM Class of 2002. Lastly, it is important to recognize Snoozy's Bookstore for producing this book each year. The medical students of UASOM are forever indebted to them. Thank you. Thanks to David Eisenberg, Class of 2003, for compiling this year's version. |
