The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) would like to invite you to attend the inaugural Biomedical Engineering Research Symposium taking place March 8-9, 2012 at UAB's Hill University Center. This event is being organized by the Biomedical Engineering Graduate Student Organization (BMEGS) and the Department of Biomedical Engineering.

The Symposium will consist of oral and poster presentations by BME graduate students and networking sessions. The purpose of this event is to set up a forum to promote interaction between biomedical researchers at UAB, industry and government institutions. This will facilitate networking between potential employers and employees, foster industry-academia collaborations and raise awareness about the cutting-edge biomedical research being carried out at UAB.
