IEM Alumni Mixer
IEM will be hosting our Annual IEM Alumni Mixer and we invite you to join us for an evening of fellowship and networking with past and present UAB IEM Clients, Faculty, and Staff! Come mingle and make connections with others from IEM! Mark your calendar now for Tuesday, August 27 from 5:30-7:30 pm at The Wine Loft (downtown Birmingham). Invitations will be distributed soon!
What to do before classes begin:
Familiarize yourself with BBLearn – as soon as you have your blazerID, you can log into BBLearn at http://www.uab.edu/bblearn/. On the main BBLearn website (before you log in), there is a side link that will take you to “student support” and you can watch short (3-5 minute) videos about how to navigate the software program you will be using for IEM courses. Note: if you log in, you won’t see any courses until you register for classes and the courses are officially opened. Courses typically open up the day before classes officially begin each semester. The content for all your course assignments will be posted here for ALL your courses.
Note: you must have your BlazerID before you can register so don’t delay in getting that set up. You will be receiving details about registering for classes in June, along with a list of books/software needed for your classes. Do not worry about registering now… IEM controls the registration for these classes so they will not fill up! If you are an over achiever and need something to do before you receive the next e-mail correspondence, then purchase the book “Resumes Are Worthless” which was written by Dr. Dale Callahan. You can get the book at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, the UAB Bookstores or purchase the Kindle version. This is required reading for one of your fall courses.
Please let us know if you have questions or would like us to address in the coming weeks.
