Dr. Yee was born in Los Angeles, California. He completed his undergraduate studies in chemistry at UCLA in 1989. He subsequently finished his masters degree in physical chemistry at UCLA in 1990. Following his graduate work, Dr. Yee obtained his M.D. at the University of California-Irvine College of Medicine. He served his internship in Los Angeles. He moved to Tampa, Florida to complete a residency in ophthalmology at the University of South Florida. Dr. Yee joined the faculty in 2002 and became the medical director of both the Lions Eye Clinic and the Callahan Eye Foundation Hospital Emergency Room. Dr. Yee received his Board Certification by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 2000.
