Malinda Blair O'Leary
Malinda Blair O'Leary (PhD, University of Alabama) is Instructor of Spanish and Coordinator of the Foreign Language Media Services. She received a BA in Spanish and an MA in Foreign Language Education-Spanish, both from UAB. As a PhD candidate, her dissertation analyzes the positive and negative contributions of a blended course format in the college-level elementary Spanish classroom. Other interests include Spanish variation, change, contrasts as well as language history and etymology. O'Leary is also involved in research in second language acquisition.
