María Jesús Centeno
María Jesús Centeno (M.A University of Georgia) is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish. She completed her B.A in the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain).
Her area of specialization is Spanish Linguistics with an emphasis in Spanish as a Second Language. She taught Spanish as a Second Language at the École Normal Supérieur in Yaundé (Cameroon), Instituto Cervantes in Warsaw (Poland), Gymnasium Budejôvicka of Praga (Cheque Republique) and the University of Georgia.
Because of her background she is very interested in analyzing how cultural aspects can affect the meaning of some Spanish constructions in various Spanish dialects .
